Job openings at Harlem Success Charter School

Eva Moskowitz's charter school, Harlem Success, is growing and hiring. Here's the email she asked me to pass along:
Harlem Success is looking for exceptional leaders and early childhood classroom teachers with leadership potential for Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade classrooms, special education, sports, dance, and science. Ideal candidates must be passionate about education reform and relentless in providing at-risk students with the support and tools they need to reach the highest levels of academic and personal achievement. Harlem Success is looking for data-driven, results-oriented self-starters willing to commit themselves to a strong school culture marked by high expectations and rigorous curriculum. Harlem Success is also looking for exceptional individuals for its school management team in the following areas: operations, finance, external affairs, family affairs, human resources, and instruction. Ideal candidates are extremely detailed oriented, driven, and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As part of a growing organization, the candidate must a team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills willing to do "whatever it takes" to ensure student success. Ideal candidates are problem-solvers who are responsive to feedback and welcome daily challenges.

Harlem Success Academy is a brand new charter located in the heart of Harlem. The school opened in August of 2006 and has a 150 kindergartners and first graders and will add one grade each year until the school reaches capacity as a kindergarten through eighth grade school. Harlem Success is dedicated to academic excellence in all subject areas, character development, and extracurricular achievement. Eva Moskowitz, former New York City Council Member and Education Committee Chair, is the Executive Director. Part of the founders' larger mission in reforming the educational landscape is to replicate and open an additional 30 to 40 schools over the next ten years in New York City.
