New slide with shocking NYS data

I got a hold of some SHOCKING data for NY State (which I’m sure mirrors the rest of the country).  It looks at all of the 9^th graders in the state six years ago and then tracks how many finish high school within four years, how many start college and how many are in any form of school by their 2^nd year of college.  The answers are horrifying: among black and Hispanic males, only 40% finish HS in 4 years, only half of them (21% of the original 9^th graders) start college, and only 13% are still in college by what should be their 2^nd year.  Here’s the new slide I added to my school reform deck, showing the data (the latest version is always posted at www.tilsonfunds.com/Personal/SchoolReform):
