KIPP Information Sessions

The new KIPP high school and elementary school in NYC are having open houses on Mon., Feb. 8^th and Tues, Feb. 9^th, respectively.  I recently visited KIPP NYC College Prep (see my recent email; I posted pics at: http://picasaweb.google.com/WTilson/KIPPInfinityNYCCollegePrep) and hope to see you when I visit KIPP Academy Elementary on 2/9!  Here are the details:

 

KIPP NYC College Prep High School Information Session

When: Monday, February 8, 6:00 - 8:00 pm

Where: KIPP NYC College Prep, 625 W. 133rd Street (at Broadway)

Hosted By: Principal Natalie Webb and the KIPP NYC College Prep staff 

 

In July 2009, KIPP NYC College Prep opened its doors to its founding 9th grade class made up of students from KIPP Academy, KIPP STAR, KIPP AMP, and KIPP Infinity middle schools. Over the course of four years, the high school will grow to serve nearly 800 KIPP NYC students, and in 2013, we will watch with pride as our founding class graduates from high school with the knowledge, skills, and character to succeed in college, work, and life.

 

Please join the KIPP NYC College Prep team for an evening discussion about the school's first year and expansion plans. During the session, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions individually and in small groups.

 

Dinner will be provided by KIPP NYC!

KIPP NYC Elementary Schools Information Session

When: Tuesday, February 9, 5:00 - 7:00 pm

Where: KIPP Academy Elementary, 928 Simpson Street (at 163rd St.), Third Floor

Please join our elementary school co-principals for an evening discussion about their first school year in the Bronx and our elementary expansion plans in Harlem. This summer, KIPP NYC opened its first elementary school, KIPP Academy Elementary, which currently serves 92 kindergartners in the South Bronx. The second of four planned KIPP NYC elementary schools, KIPP NYC Elementary in Harlem, will open in the summer of 2010.

 

The co-principals of our new elementary schools are excited to share their vision for their schools and have you meet some of our current faculty. During the session, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions individually and in small groups.
