Colin Powell on education reform

I saw Colin Powell speak on education reform yesterday at an event hosted by the Harvard Black Alumni Association of New York.  On the panel with him were Rhena Jasey, a founding teacher at The Equity Project Charter School (which I visited last month; see: http://picasaweb.google.com/WTilson/TheEquityProject), David Banks of The Eagle Academy for Young Men, an all-boys public high school (not a charter school, though it has many charter-like elements) founded in 2004, and a student and parent from Eagle.  They were all REALLY strong on reform.
