Robin Hood annual benefit last night

I was at the Robin Hood annual benefit last night.  There's really nothing like it – they raised $88 MILLION to fight poverty in NYC, including supporting many high-performing charter schools!  Everyone – and I mean EVERYONE – in the NY ed reform community was there.  The best surprise of the evening (even better than Sting playing his "favorite song", Message in a Bottle (www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMCZqKowlzM&feature=fvw)) – was finding The Lottery in the gift bag.  What an amazing way to get the film into the hands of thousands of key people!
