Bill Ferguson for MD State Senate

It's great to see another TFAer running for public office (email from a friend):

I don't do this terribly often, but I'm writing to tell you about a candidate I am supporting for State Senate in Maryland.  Bill Ferguson is running against an incumbent in the Democratic primary in the state's 46th district, the section of Baltimore where Eleanor and I lived when we first moved to town.  He is a talented public servant who started his career as a Teach for America corps member and  Baltimore City Public School teacher.  Most recently, he worked for Baltimore schools CEO Andres Alonso, executing some of that system's most comprehensive and exciting reform plans.  You can learn more about Bill here:

On July 20th, my friend and former boss Michelle Rhee will be coming to town to support Bill's candidacy at what is sure to be an exciting event and fundraiser!  You can find the details here:

An Evening with Michelle Rhee

If you are a Baltimore local, I hope you will consider joining us and supporting Bill for State Senate.  If you're not a local, you're either a close friend of mine or an education reformer par excellence, and I hope you will consider supporting Bill as well!  Please take a few seconds to learn more about Bill and his campaign.  Education reform does not have a strong advocate in Annapolis, and it's more important than ever that we elect strong Democrats with real reform experience to critical statewide and national positions.  Bill promises to bring a strong voice for Baltimore's public school children to the state capitol and beyond.
