Did you know

A friend suggested including a short statistic in my emails – sort of like a "did you know?", so here's one: I just got the College Board's AP Report to the Nation (http://professionals.collegeboard.com/data-reports-research/ap/nation), which has all sorts of interesting data.  For example, African-American students account for 14.6% of the graduating high school class of 2010, yet only earned 3.9% of passing scores on AP exams.  For Hispanic/Latinos, it's 16.8% and 14.6%, but this is inflated due to the Spanish Language (and, to a lesser extent, Spanish Lit) exams.  The College Board breaks out this statistic by state as well.
