Donate to Camp Phoenix

From a friend:

Camp Phoenix is an Oakland non profit summer camp that empowers low-income children to overcome the summer learning gap through joyful academic learning, enrichment, and community building. During a three-week overnight camp, rising middle schools students experience a low to no-cost meaningful summer. Campers participate in morning small group academics to get them back on and above grade level for fall and afternoon camp programming to explore the outdoors, build lifelong friends, develop their leadership, and explore their own unique identities.

Camp Phoenix was founded by three Teach For America staff members responding to the needs of Bay Area students and teachers. They are currently fundraising towards a budget of $80,000 to launch the pilot camp this summer.

You can help by donating to Camp Phoenix online at http://fundly.com/campphoenix, or by connecting the team to funding resources. Visit www.campphoenix.org or reach out to allison@campphoenix.org.
