From John Kirtley:

In researching something I came across this clip of one of my favorite speeches in American history. Though delivered on a tragic occurrence, it is one of the most inspiring speeches I have ever heard. Regardless of what you may think of RFK's policies, imagine the courage it took to stand on a flatbed truck in Gary, Indiana and tell an all black crowd the MLK had just been killed. Imagine being able, upon the spur of the moment, to compose a speech that quotes Aeschylus and yet perfectly conveys a simple message of hope in the face of such despair. Amazing. Something to show the kids whenever they are ready.
