Excel Academy - Fourth Annual Celebration of Excellence on June 3rd

Excel Academy, a fabulous charter school near Boston that I visited last fall (see http://edreform.blogspot.com/2010/01/excel-academy-charter-school.html and pics at: http://picasaweb.google.com/WTilson/ExcelAcademy), is having Fourth Annual Celebration of Excellence on June 3rd:

Join us on Thursday, June 3rd at the Museum of Science for the fourth annual Celebration of Excellence Spring Gala, as we celebrate not only seven years of excellence at Excel Academy Charter School, but also our first class of Excel graduates who will matriculate to college this fall.  Experience firsthand the elements of passion, dedication and innovation that define our community.  Enjoy a student-guided tour of "the power of an Excel education" during the cocktail reception and discover what defines an Excel college-preparatory middle school education.  Discuss our methods and procedures during a seated dinner with friends, students and teachers and draw your own conclusions as you listen to our inspirational program.

Tickets are $150 apiece. The cocktail portion of the event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the seated dinner and speaking program will commence at 7:30 p.m.
