Teacher of the Year laid off..

One of my readers asked if it's really true that Teachers of the Year are being laid off (per my cartoon: www.xtranormal.com/watch/11138646), so Googled it (http://www.google.com/search?q=teacher+of+the+year+laid+off&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a).  The answer: sadly, LOTS of them!
