Nominations for DFER’s “Brian Bennett Education Warrior Awards”

Please submit nominations for DFER's "Brian Bennett Education Warrior Awards":

Dear Education Reformers,

In the interest of recognizing the best of the best of our nation's education reform champions, DFER is, for the first time, asking YOU to submit nominations for our annual "Brian Bennett Education Warrior Awards."

Brian Bennett was a nationally-known activist and education reformer, and a front-line warrior for four decades in the fight to close the achievement gap. After his passing in 2009, we decided to name our warrior award in his honor, to remind the next generation of education reformers what it means to be a trailblazer.

An "Education Warrior" is a hero of public education reform, a tireless advocate for all children, and someone whose leadership serves to remind us of what we can do every day to strive for educational excellence in our public schools.

Who do you think has the fight and fire of an Education Warrior? We want to hear!

Click here to nominate an Education Warrior!  All nominations must be submitted by Friday, August 19th.

The final Education Warrior Award recipient(s) will be announced in September.

For more information about the Brian Bennett Education Warrior Award, and to see our list of past recipients, visit www.dfer.org/edwarrior/.

I look forward to hearing your nominations. Let the battle begin!

Sincerely,

Brienne Bellavita
Chief of Staff
