Charter Group Will Enroll More Pupils in Houston

I stand corrected -- the NY Times did, in fact, have an article about the big news from KIPP in Houston.  You do have to wonder, though, why the writer basically completely ignored the fact that KIPP is doing similarly amazing things right in the New York Times's backyard (other than this sentence: "Mr. Levin now supervises the four KIPP schools in New York.").  Don't you think this story might have mentioned that the KIPP schools in NYC are achieving similarly spectacular results and, like Houston, have raised tens of millions of dollars to fund a major expansion that will include over the next few years four elementary schools, 1-2 high schools and a pioneering teacher training institute?
