List for Schools Seems to Grow More Wishful

A friend's comment on the NY Times Magazine article:
The other criticism that I have is there is an implication that the great charter operators can only be a drop in the bucket.  Maybe they will, but maybe they won’t.  Even someone like Paul Tough should give more credibility to thought that we have no idea how many students can be served by these schools, it may very well be many more than he could ever have thought.  Eight years ago, most people probably would have said that KIPP will falter after it gets beyond its original 2 schools and look what has happened with it.

Bloomberg and Schools Chancellor Joel I. Klein will have to slash their long and expensive wish list for the city’s public schools.
