An email from a friend at the Education Equality Project:

 

Just wanted to add that two key civil rights groups – United Negro College Fund and the National Council of La Raza – also did not stand with the Schott-organized coalition last week, but rather with the President on his ed reform agenda.  The heads of these groups – Michael Lomax and Janet Murguia – serve as co-chairs of EEP's Board of Directors, alongside Joel Klein.
