Joanna Rees Fundraising event tomorrow

I hope you can join a fundraising event in NYC tomorrow evening from 6-8pm for Joanna Rees, who is running for mayor of San Francisco (the invitation is attached).  With a wide open field, Joanna has quickly emerged as the most viable nominee with the qualifications to be mayor.  Joanna is incredibly committed to education reform and significantly improving the public schools is her top initiative coming into office.  She has been a leader in the New Schools Venture Fund as a board member and investment partner, she chaired the Bay Area Board of NFTE which she served on for eight years and she also serves as a member of the San Francisco School Alliance's Advisory Council, an independent, non-profit organization that develops strategic partnerships, raises money, and advocates for policies to improve the city's public.  A person with her credentials and experience is a great choice as a mayor for one of the most prominent urban cities in this country.
