Condi Rice: Today's True Racists Are Liberals Who Defend Teachers' Unions
Monday after the airing of her appearance on Fox News Channel's "Fox and Friends," former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice had a more extensive interview for Fox News Radio's "Kilmeade & Friends" and discussed race relations in America more in depth.
Pointing to the recent ruling in a California court that teacher tenure violates children's civil rights, Rice said the true racism of today is when liberals defend the teachers' unions that are trapping minority children in failing schools in poor neighborhoods.
Rice is currently a professor of political science at Stanford University. She called out the Democrats' refusal to move forward on school choice or charter programs, opting instead to protect the financial support they receive from the teachers unions.
Rice said, "Poor black kids trapped in failing neighborhoods schools, that's the biggest race problem of today. That's the biggest civil rights issue of today. Anybody who isn't in favor of school choice, anybody who isn't in favor of educational reform, anybody who defends the status quo in the educational system, that's racist to me."
